Lupine is a vegetable protein and is an excellent alternative to meat because of its high protein content and good protein quality. Furthermore, it is rich in healthy dietary fibers and contains almost no fat. In addition, lupine has the special property of binding nitrogen from the air and thus enriching the soil. Therefore, no (artificial) manure is needed to grow this crop. Moreover, in contrast to soya, which depletes the soil, lupine improves the soil. The fertility of the soil increases by growing lupine.

Lupine is therefore not only a pleasure for the eye, but also for the soil.
